Chamber Music Masterclass |

CHAMBER MUSIC MASTERCLASS Peter Goetzel, principal violinist and viola player with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra held a chamber music masterclass in the National Concert Hall, Kevin Barry Room on Saturday 10th October. .
 The class was presented as part of the NCH Learn and Explore programme, in association with ESB Feis Ceoil and the Irish-Austrian Society. Participants were prizewinners from the Senior and Junior Chamber Music competitions at this year's ESB Feis Ceoil. Prof. Goetzel brought along his viola, and following the afternoon masterclass, the young instrumentalists joined him in a performance of the first and third movements of the Mendelssohn Octet Op. 20, to much acclaim by the audience which included the Austrian Ambassador and his guest from London, the Austrian Ambassador to the Court of St. James |
