The Catriona Dowling Perpetual Trophy

Dear Principal,

Every year since inception of the German Language Essay competition in 1997, prizes have been awarded to the winning students. In recognition of the work and contribution of German Teachers supporting this competition, we are also awarding a trophy to one teacher.

The Catriona Dowling perpetual trophy will be presented to the teacher, who, in the opinion of the adjudicators has demonstrated commitment to, and enthusiasm for the Essay Competition.

The name of the winning teacher will be announced in May at the award ceremony for all winners, which is held at the Residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Dublin.

I very much hope that your teachers and students of German will participate in this 20th competition and am entirely at your disposal for any further information you may require.
