Having started our walk at St. Kevin’s 6th Century Monastic Settlement at Glendalough we were in good spirits for our almost 3 hours hike. Having discovered not just very beautiful and very Irish sights, but also having had good conversations and laughs, our little tour through the woods, passing by the two loughs and up the hill was a time, which all of us enjoyed. Some of us were lucky enough to find some edible mushrooms on our way back, for which we were looking forward to be served as an appetizer, only the collection seemed too precious as to be eaten right away, which is why we chose a pub to round up our trip. We were back just in time, before it started to rain and although the weather was quite chilly, it indeed was a warm hearted day.
