2025 German Language Essay Competition is now open

Dear Students, Teachers and Principals The Irish Austrian Society are happy to announce the 2025 German Language Essay competition now open. In 2024 we saw 300+ entries from across 27 schools and we are keen to increase participation once again. To see the winners of last year's competition, please click here . Congrulations to the Winners of the 2023/34 Essay Language Competition

Winners of the German Language Essay Competition Once again, the Irish Austrian Society were delighted to announce the winners of the annual German Language Essay competition. This time under the patronage of our designated new Austrian Ambassador Melitta Schubert. The winners are: JUNIORS Ronan Fox - CBS Highschool Clonmel. 2024 German Language Essay Competition is now open

Dear Students, Teachers and Principals The Irish Austrian Society announce the 2024 German Language Essay competition now open. In 1997, Dr. Otto Glaser, the President of the Irish Austrian Society at the time, had the desire to support young Irish students learn the German language. Having been educated in Ireland himself as a child, he was looking for a way to give back and foster education of his native language. He founded the German Language Essay competition, which has been running every year since. Please see links below for the invitation letter for students and teachers.
